ECO-WHEELS SHOW

Date: June 16,2012
ECO-WHEELS SHOW Where is urban mobility headed? What does the future of transportation in Toronto look like? Why is the next generation so excited about sustainable mobility? How do we spur the development of much-needed infrastructure?

The answers are at the Eco-Wheels Show June 16-17, 2012. Practical, eco-friendly transportation has never been more varied, more readily available, or more fun. Highly efficient, city-friendly cars (hybrid/fully electric), scooters, motorcycles, bicycles: both pedal-powered and electric plus the infrastructure initiatives that support them, accessories and high-tech gear, come together in a FREE two-day event, now in its third exciting year!

Come try for yourself the latest offerings from exhibitors like Toyota Canada, Nissan Canada and Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada Inc. in our Ride and Drive. On Saturday June 16, Canadian Geographic and Shell Canada will also have “the world’s most fuel efficient couple,” John and Helen Taylor,to provide tips on efficient driving practices.

The heart of Toronto’s burgeoning eastern waterfront, the upscale, vibrant Distillery District is home to more than 40 Victorian-era buildings that house art galleries, boutique stores, and purveyors of gourmet food and beverages along cobbled streets in the city’s hippest neighbourhood.

Plus, once again the show will be the finish line for the Go Green, Go Dutch, Go Bike ride on June 17. The ride, initiated by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Toronto, raises money for new bicycles, helmets and locks for deserving Toronto youth.
